The Police Department now has a direct phone number which bypasses Village Hall staff.

For calls to any member of the Police Department please call 440-247-0155, if after hours the directory will guide you to the appropriate extension.

For emergencies dial 911, for non-emergencies dial 440-247-7321, the dispatcher at Chagrin Falls will contact the duty officer for you.  The duty officer will either return your call or come to your home.

Department Personnel:
The Bentleyville Police Department consists of 16 employees, 3 Full-time, 9 Part-time and 11 Auxiliary sworn officers.

Patrol Service:
The Bentleyville Police Department provides 24-hour emergency and non-emergency response and service to the community. Patrol Officers respond to all calls for service in the Village and conduct the preliminary investigations. The patrol force provides round the clock protection to residents and visitors, pro-active patrol traffic, traffic law enforcement and crime prevention. Field supervision on each of the three patrol shifts by full-time officers.

The goals of the Patrol Officer are high-visibility, pro-active enforcement, an awareness of the needs and desires of the community and its visitors, and fair and impartial professional law enforcement. The Patrol Officer is responsible for providing a safe and friendly environment for all people who live or visit Bentleyville.
